Marketing for online course creators

Be the course creator whose students finish, and buy the next course. Your revenue carries over from one launch to the next, and your list is warmer every time.

Marketing for online course creators, the way I do it, means working with you on the few things that decide whether your course business keeps growing: your masterclass or webinar funnel, launch and evergreen economics, pricing and offers, and the email and lifecycle that bring students back for a second course. You come away with a funnel you can scale, a price you can stand behind, and students who finish what they bought and come back for more.

Where your course business gets stuck

The funnel works until you scale it

A masterclass funnel that converts at $8 a registration rarely holds at $30. What fixes it depends on which number moved — registration cost, show-up rate, pitch conversion or refund rate — and a blended number won’t tell you which.

Every launch starts from zero

Your revenue arrives in spikes, your list gets tired between them, and nothing builds. The fix is usually evergreen and lifecycle work, so each launch starts with buyers already warmed up.

One course, one purchase

Every student has to pay back what you spent to reach them on a single sale, because there is no second thing to buy and nothing bringing them back. That caps what you can afford to spend on finding new students.

Sold well, finished badly

Completion, refunds and renewals belong in your marketing numbers. Students who don’t finish your course don’t recommend it, and they don’t buy the next one.

What I work on

Masterclass and webinar funnels

Registration cost, show-up rate, the pitch, and the follow-up sequence, which often brings in more of your revenue than the live session does.

Launch and evergreen economics

What a launch actually earns after discounting and refunds, and what an evergreen funnel would need to hold to be worth building alongside it.

Email and lifecycle

Onboarding, nurture, cart sequences, winback and post-purchase. I have built these at scale in Braze, Iterable, CleverTap and MoEngage.

Pricing, offers and bundles

Price architecture, payment plans, order bumps and what to put in front of someone who already bought. I have taken free-to-paid conversion up 3x in two years.

Retention and repeat purchase

Completion, renewal, membership and the second sale. This is what decides how much you can afford to pay for the first one.

Measurement you can trust

Attribution across ads, email and organic, and event tracking that agrees with your revenue, so the numbers you optimise against are ones you can trust.

What people say

Nicole got straight into my pricing model challenges and provided so many valuable insights it’s hard to know where to focus first. The major bonus for me was being able to pick her brains about how she’s approached challenges in her own org and role — priceless advice from someone with a huge amount of experience.
Luke Latimer
Nicole ripped apart my idea — and then gave me a much better one. She showed me the flaw in my plan and then gave me a much better approach. She really got what we are trying to accomplish and used her experience to help navigate me through a much more doable plan.
Carletus Willis
Nicole is very knowledgeable about the e-commerce space and has vast experience and insight into what makes a successful store, and the most up to date strategies and techniques.

Great call with heaps of actionable takeaways that I can implement immediately. Will definitely book another call in a couple weeks!
William Wu
Incredibly helpful and informative. She validated some of my ideas whilst also provided guidance to help me create a mature automation strategy, and followed up after the session with examples.
Rob Delijani
It was interesting and useful to have the conversation about the holistic view of organic and paid traffic. Highly recommend.

Common questions

Do you help market my course, or teach me marketing?

I help you market yours. The work is on your funnel, your pricing and your lifecycle — either as a focused engagement that ends with a decision, as recurring coaching while you execute, or as fractional support where I am embedded part-time and running it with you.

What size course business do you work with?

From solo creators with a proven offer up to established education companies. If you haven’t sold your course yet, the thing to work on is usually the course itself, and an advisor is an expensive way to find that out.

Why should a course creator take marketing advice from you?

The problems you are working on are the ones I work on every day at Mindvalley, an online education business: masterclass funnels, evergreen webinars, launches, and keeping students engaged after they buy. The growth systems I lead there support a $100M+ revenue ecosystem including $50M+ in ARR, so what I suggest has been tested on courses selling at scale.

Does it matter which platform I host my course on?

Not much. The economics of a course funnel are the same whether it runs on Kajabi, Teachable, Thinkific, a membership site or something custom. What matters is that the funnel, the email platform and the payment data can be joined up well enough to measure, and that is usually fixable.

Do you run my ads and write my emails?

In a fractional engagement I work inside the team and the execution gets done with you. In a strategy engagement I decide what should be built and why, and your team or freelancers build it. Most people I work with start with the second.
