Advisory

For small business owners

You’re putting time and money into marketing and can’t tell what’s working. I help you find what’s holding sales back, so you fix that first and stop spending on guesses.

Growth advisory for small business owners helps you work out why customers buy from you, what stops more of them, and what to fix first with the time and budget you have. I work with you as a focused strategy engagement, 1-1 coaching, or part-time fractional support. I’ve grown a business on a tight budget before: I led growth at Pixapp, a bootstrapped marketplace for artists, which reached 3,000 merchants and 50,000 monthly active users within six months.

What people say

Nicole is very knowledgeable about the e-commerce space and has vast experience and insight into what makes a successful store, and the most up to date strategies and techniques.
Mark Lukac
Very knowledgeable. We dug into her experience on recruitment and training. Understood the stage of our business and how that should influence our decision-making. She gave very clear perspectives and examples on where we should hire locally versus internationally. First class.
Hamel Shah
She was extremely focused and genuinely trying to help demystify the paradox that we are facing in the e-commerce world. Super friendly and her points were crisp, direct, and helpful!
Marwan Ahmed
Nicole got straight into my pricing model challenges and provided so many valuable insights it’s hard to know where to focus first. The major bonus for me was being able to pick her brains about how she’s approached challenges in her own org and role — priceless advice from someone with a huge amount of experience.
Luke Latimer
It was interesting and useful to have the conversation about the holistic view of organic and paid traffic. Highly recommend.
Janie
Nicole ripped apart my idea — and then gave me a much better one. She showed me the flaw in my plan and then gave me a much better approach. She really got what we are trying to accomplish and used her experience to help navigate me through a much more doable plan.
Carletus Willis
Incredibly helpful and informative. She validated some of my ideas whilst also provided guidance to help me create a mature automation strategy, and followed up after the session with examples.
Rob Delijani
Her advice was very relevant and practical. She also followed up with lots of additional resources.
Sean Olliver
Great call with heaps of actionable takeaways that I can implement immediately. Will definitely book another call in a couple weeks!
William Wu
Premium level mentor! Nicole is the best mentor I have talked with on GrowthMentor. Very knowledgeable and experienced. Pleasure talking with her. Highly recommended!

Common questions

What does a growth advisor do for a small business?

I help you find the one thing holding the business back, whether that’s the offer, the price, how customers find you, or what happens after they buy. Then we fix that first, instead of working on all four at once.

I am not a startup and I do not want to be. Is this still for me?

Yes. Most growth advice is written for startups chasing funding. If you want to grow steadily and stay profitable, the right channels and prices look different, and that’s what we’d work on.

How small is too small?

If you already have paying customers, there’s plenty to work with. If you don’t yet, we’d start with your offer before you spend anything on marketing.

Do I need to be running ads already?

No. Referrals, pricing and repeat customers often bring in more than ads do, and they cost less. We’d work out together whether ads are worth it for you.

Can you just run it for me?

Yes, that’s the fractional option: I join part-time and run the work with you. If you’d rather do it yourself, strategy gives you a plan, and coaching gives you regular sessions while you put it into practice.

What does it cost?

We agree the scope and fee after the first call, once we know what the work is. The 20-minute intro call is free, with no obligation.
